Chevron perfection at its finest...

Today's vintage/modern bridal shower has captured my heart and I am so excited to share the beauty of it's tailored simplicity with you all. Brace yourselves ladies, this delightful feature is chevron perfection at its finest. This stunning pink, coral & gray bridal shower was designed & styled by Lindsey, D’Lorah and Jessica of Modern Moments Designs.

For those who know me really well, I worship the chevron design is every shape or form and I totally fell in love and when I saw these pictures featured on the {hostess with the mostess} blog I nearly fell of my chair. There are so many divine elements and I don’t know where to start. From the gorgeous pink peonies, milk glass vessels, hanging crystals, vintage frames, suitcases all the way to the finest details like the “bride to be” spelled out in scrabble letters (my latest addiction), I must say every detail of this elegant bridal showers has been executed to perfection.

And if you would like to see more gorgeousness, make sure you click here! Enjoy Lovelies xx

i dream of vintage...

So it seems that the vintage vibe is making a move into the interiors world! It is no longer trendy to just simply wear vintage, now it is fashionable to decorate with vintage in mind as well. The latest trend in interiors is to create the antique look within your home, and this isn’t limited to any particular room in the house, the look can be applied to any room.

The fact that antique or vintage, whichever you want to call it, has become fashionable means good news all round, as it is possible to pick up some bargains when shopping for items to create this look. This particular theme embraces second hand items, which is always good when living in economic conditions such as we are at the moment.

When it comes to the bedroom a good investment for this look, is a vintage style dresser. This can add a hint of class and sophistication to a bedroom, and is particularly good if it is a girl’s room as it adds a feminine touch.

The vintage look created within each room can of course be enhanced through the use of accessories and soft furnishings. Things such as lamps, mirrors, even figurines, and in the case of the bedroom jewellery boxes can really add to the vintage feel. So before you go and start throwing anything out stop and think twice, it may be just the thing you need to create this look. xx

Doily Love

I created this collection from my admiration of doilies. After a while my admiration turned into obsession and I found myself thinking i should perhaps incorporate these gorgeous doilies into my latest collection. Some people might view them as old-fashioned and boring but these lacey round friends can be quite practical as you can give them a fresh creative spin, even trendy.

I just love the delicate, lace-like look of the doilies gives it a classic appeal and makes a wonderful striking impression. And that is how “Doily Love” Collection was born. After this post I am hoping that you may just start rummaging through the attic or hitting the local markets to find some dollies that you can bring forward into 2010. Show a little doily love xx

Adore Vintage

I've always been told I have an old soul and sometimes think I was born in the wrong century, or at least a couple decades too late. I love all things vintage, particularly the fashion & decor of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. I've always loved history, maybe that's why I like things from other centuries so much more. I have a passion for vintage textiles, crafts and eclectic accessories. Eventually this "passion" turned into obsession and that’s how my latest “adore vintage” collection began. I have a great appreciation for elegant, glamour, chandeliers, silk chairs and vintage couture. Yesterday i went to this shabby chic market at Cronulla, purchased few vintage stands for my cards, i was so excited that when i got home i could not resist but take some pictures and share them with you.
I find vintage images to be so charming & inspiring! Like for example these little illustrations by "The little humbugs" that i found on etsy. Aren't they cute? I just wanted to share them with you today.
But let's be serious here - I don't live in a time-warp. I do love hip hop & rock music, have heard of Justin Bieber, carry an iPhone and am addicted to the internet and all the inspiration and glorious shopping opportunities it brings.
So since vintage inspired cards are such a delight, check out - ‘My little jedi’ – ‘Adore Vintage’ Collection
These cards are only $5 each, so please hurry and place your order ~ send me an email ves_k82@hotmail.com xx
