inspired by subway art...

Artwork, prints & posters...I am being inspired by so many great subway art posters that I have seen lately and I wanted to incorporate the concept into my latest addition of party printable invitations. I love art prints with a variety of typestyles and fonts that have a modern, chic & graphic feel.

Also I would like to announce that MLJ will be designing art décor printables range for kid’s bedrooms, I have been drawn to the subway art trend that has been a huge trend in decorating for years. I would love to work with you in creating custom personalized art prints to your specifications. Stay tuned for more details.

Happily ever after...

Oh I absolutely adore this wedding, its beautiful, romantic and perfectly styled by Danni from
Oh Hello Friend blog and photography by Christian Cruz. On top of that there are so many pretty desserts – dreamy sweet treat overload! How gorgeous is the lounge area with vintage furniture. Danni built a photo wall for the guests to take pictures.

There are so many lovely details I would like to mention, the mini boxed cakes used for favours, tied it with fabric with a wood fork attached, along with the engagement ring Danni’s husband made which she put on display. And what I love the most are the test tubes and bottles hanging from trees along with succulents and lots of dry flowers. All the flowers and lace decorations were handmade by Danni’s friend...All i can say is...perfection! xx

Easter eggs masterpieces...

I remember as a kid how much fun it was to decorate the Easter eggs. Its was like having a blank canvas and we had so much fun experimenting which colours and stickers we are going to use decorate the eggs. The final result might have been a mess or a masterpiece but it was always enormously satisfying.

Growing up in Europe we celebrated the Orthodox Easter every year and to keep the tradition of coloring eggs alive we were colouring most of the Easter eggs bright red and the rest different colours.

The eggs are always coloured on Holy Thursday, which commemorates the Last Supper, held the evening before the Crucifixion. The custom of cracking the eggs takes place before the Easter lunch. The eggs are cracked after the midnight service and during the next days. Each person selects his/her egg. The people take turns tapping their egg against the eggs of others and the person who ends up with the last unbroken egg is believed to have a year of good luck.

Below i have selected few of my favourite Easter eggs decoration. What is your Easter family tradition?

All you need is...Honeysuckle Love!

February is the love month. Whether you’re partnered or loving life as a party of one, February serves as a gentle reminder that, not only is love all around us, but there are also plenty of people, places, and things to love, care for. I have to admit i didnt have the best Valentines Day this year as i spent all day at the hospital worry about my mum. Thankfully she is ok and she is home today. But i must say today its been a much better day. But not just better, i should say {the best}!

Our {Honeysuckle Valentines Day} collaboration shoot was featured on {Amy Atlas} today. This amazing shoot was styled and captured by Niki from Candy Soirees. Niki, Anita & I worked on this project collaboratively and i am so happy with the outcome of this shoot which features my latest {damask love} printables collection. Damask infuses a hint of elegance where ever it emerges. I just love the versatility of my latest {damask} collection, its elegant, timeless and can be used for everything from a baby and bridal shower, birthday, christening or sophisticated dinner party celebration. We chose the colour palette of honeysuckle pink & dove grey which tied in perfectly with my {damask love} party printables. It’s the perfect palette for Valentines Day.

Stylistically, we all have a thorough appreciation of shape and colour and we share a passion for timeless elegance. I would like to highlight the ‘eye candy’ of this {Honeysuckle Valentines Day} shoot. Niki had acquired this beautiful honeysuckle chair which we used as a prop which featured the valentine’s day subway love poster and the use of key and heart denotes “key to my heart”. For the backdrop we used this elegant
chandelier decal in the shade of honeysuckle which added a touch of decadence to the dessert table. Niki found this amazing mini chest filled with hot pink jelly beans. We used champagne bottles, which were adorned with ribbon, straws and label which read ‘love.me.tender’. As for party favors, we used printables pillow boxes filled with candy as well as gorgeous white boxes adorned with chocolate heart and delicious chocolate bars wrapped in twine like a bundle of love letters.

We must admit the highlight of the table is the gorgeous cake, made by the amazingly talented Anita from
Cake Envy. {the design of the cake was inspired by Bakerella}, featuring all white hearts and one honeysuckle heart in the middle. Anita also made the delicious cake pops, amazging valentines inspired heart cupcakes and cookies featuring love hearts.

pinwheels...you make my heart spin

Pinwheels are such a whimsical and colourful addition to any celebration and always remind me of summer. Pinwheels have been a really popular party trend lately and I love the idea of mixing the pinwheels with balloons and this is how my latest addition of party printables was born. The printables are available in two delicous colour palettes - jaffa & ice blue and lime & aqua.

Coordinate the pinwheels back with your dessert table/party decor and you are ready to go to. If you are a bit of a DIY guru and have the time, you can make your own; otherwise there are a couple of stores online selling pinwheels. Take a look at the pinwheel inspiration below, Its hard not to be instantly smitten! Enjoy xx

something in the air...

As a little girl, I loved picking the dandelions in the front of my grandmother’s house and making a wish as I blew the seeds away. I believed whole heartedly in making a wish on a dandelion and to this day I can’t help but to make a wish every time I find myself holding a dandelion. I have found these danderlion ispired images that i would like to share with all of you. Enjoy… and don’t forget to make a wish! xx

live what you love...

Someone once told me that the days flow through our lives like water through our hands. Four years ago, we joined our two hearts into one life with the vows of marriage. From the beginning of our relationship, we have experienced the blur love in fast forward. From our first meeting just over 9 years ago and continuing to this day, life and love have moved fast.

When we said our I-dos, we entered a vow that for whatever life brought our way that we would always meet back at that place in our hearts where we fell in love. The honeymoon stage lasts about as long a wink and a smile. Life is filled with laughter and every now and again, tears of all kinds. This is marriage.

My favourite quote is “LIVE WHAT YOU LOVE” and I stick by it. So this blog post is dedicated to you my darling husband, friend and soul mate. I love you with all my heart! xx
